We have established ourselves as one of central Ontario's most creative and cutting edge digital and colour litho printers, employing seasoned industry professionals working in concert with young, driven minds, working on state-of-the-art large format presses, to deliver exceptional work every time.

About Us

Delivering great customer service, perfecting collaboration of short lead-time jobs, simplifying the entire production process and making both our clients and their products look spectacular.

Since our inception, in 1916 we have steadily grown to become one of the most highly regarded and versatile suppliers of print and design in our area. We now employ over 60 people on a site that occupies over 40,000 square feet.

We have an experienced in-house design capability, a print facility incorporating eight presses ranging from 1 to 5 colour, a complete in-house bindery, die cutting & creasing, mailing facility, warehousing, distribution, POD and digital printing services.

We strive to stay ahead of the crowd through our approach to conducting business, our commitment to new technologies, the inspirational ideas we bring to design and print solutions, and the acknowledgement of our environment responsibilities. Customer focused - we hear our clients' needs and do everything possible to facilitate purchasing design and print by offering complete and tailored services based on individual requirements. Cober takes pride in our ability to transcend traditional print services. Cober can also help you market and communicate more efficiently with our proprietary Web-to-Fulfillment solutions. With just a couple clicks, your remote partners (sales reps, agents, etc.) can order customized marketing materials and deliver them anywhere. We’re not just printers, we do much more, we take on any challenge.

History

Cober Print was founded in 1916 by Vernon L. Cober, who printed business cards, letterheads and flyers for his own grocery store. It was located in his home at 85 Samuel Street until 1942. By the time his son, Lloyd, took over the business in 1945, it occupied the entire first floor of the house. Three floors were being used by 1952 and four years later an addition was built. In 1969 a walkway was put between 85 and 87 Samuel Street, where the office was relocated along with the typesetting and bindery departments.

Vernon retired from the business in 1975 and ten years later the firm relocated to Courtland Avenue East with a staff of 6. Lloyd remained active in the business until 1994. Peter Cober and his sister Billie-Anne Gural are the third generation of Cobers to run the company with a fourth generation of family members now in principle roles.

In June of 2000, Cober Printing once again packed up and moved to a 47,000 sq. ft. facility at 965 Wilson Ave. Modern equipment, computer graphics, skilled trades people, and quality printing have been our commitment to our customers. Our name is our guarantee that your printed product will be the very best.

Our philosophy is to use innovative technology to provide both printing and non-printing solutions for value and profit for both the customer and supplier in an ever changing and challenging business environment. Focusing on what our customers need and want, to provide them with cost effective products or service that meets these needs is our biggest day to day challenge.

Since 1916 this family owned business, from generation to generation, handles all aspects of this very successful operation. In order to better service a rapidly growing client base, our sales force was started in 1994.

In an ever changing environment, we are perpetually changing and keeping astride of the latest technological advances — integrating and introducing these at Cober Printing. The benefits for our clients clearly illustrate why we have made this investment. We do however, want to be sure, that we have not overlooked our most valuable resource; our people.
